Top 11 favorite characters:
Harry - DUH
Ron - even though he got kind of corny after book 5
Hermione - another duh
Snape - awesome in a mean sort of way
Dumbledore - I liked the part in #5 when he gets away from imprisonment in Azkaban
Sirius Black - Very close with Lupin, but I think he was just a bit cooler
Remus Lupin - Very close with Sirius
Fred - hilarious
George - ever so slightly less hilarious, probably because he gets less screen time
Luna - her character seems better in the movies
Barty Crouch jr. - random? Nope, he only has two lines, but he's David Tennant!!!technically barty crouch jr. had countless lines of dialogue
Azkaban isn't a character! It's a wizard prison THE wizard prison!

My favorite characters (i've only seen movies 1-5 but i'm rereading the books) are (not in order cause i like most equally):
Mad-eye Moody
Sirius Black
Harry Potter
Hermione Granger
Ron Weasley
Neville Longbottom (partly because i feel sad for his bad luck partly cause he killed voldemorts snake)
Albus Dumbledore
Rubeus Hagrid
*something* Lupin
Minerva McGonagall
I don't know why everyone's so obssessed with Tonks! Honestly I think she's gross and her powers are disturbing! But last i read the books i was like 9, now i'm 13, so i don't remember her book description much. Not that I'd dwell on it!!
Oh yeah, also Fred, George, and I think it was Fleur Decour or something cause, well You get the picture....
Oh yeah, and *don't say the name, don't say it* Voldemort (da-da-da-daaaaa) And Malfoy's dad, and Dobby. Sheesh, i might just be able to go on and on if i recall EVERY character!!!!
Also, what's that guy's name? The one you's with Fudge and Umbridge when Dumbledore gets away, he's a black guy in purple robes in the movie.... WHAT WAS IT!!!!!!!!!!!
Argh! AVADA KADAVRA! I cannot remember it for the life of me! wait, does saying that after that number one unforgivable curse backfire and make it hit.... ME!!!???

Wait, Nevermind, i misread your list, i thought you said Azkaban underneath dumbledore meaning a character but you said you liked the part where he got away before they could arrest him... sorry

lol, it's fine. I think that scene was way better in the book than in the movie.

I love HP!!! I am only allowed to read books 1-4 and not allowed to watch any of the movies. And I'm 12 years old!!!!!!!
Whoa, that's messed up! How can you start the series but not be allowed to finish it! I mean i can understand the movie. But you should at least be allowed to read ALL of the books. Or the same movies of the books you read (ie book 1-4 movie 1-4)

It really sucks being on a website where everyone's American and likes all this stuff I've never heard of ._.
You're not American? Oh and i think HP Lovecraft's work has reached Britain and various other countries cause it's horror stories. Also, HP Lovecraft couldn't go to school until he was 8 and was taken out like less than a year afterwards because he was a sickly child.

Ah, yes. Harry Potter. :3
My favorite characters are probably Fred and George, Neville Longbottom, and... Luna Lovegood.
Bellatrix Lestrange just creeps me out. xD
Snape does too. Throughout the whole book series, I was liek, 'HE IS BAD. HE HAS TO BE BAD.' And then, when I read the 6th book, I was like, 'NUUUUU! DUMBLYDWARF! (XD)' and then I was like, 'I TOLD YOU SO!!!' So yeah. I'm strange..
Mr. Weasley is awesome. Mrs. Weasley is mean to him. I mean, seriously, what's wrong with liking fellytones and plugs and automobiles? ^^

Yeah! I mean, she's a jerk!
I almost died when Sirius died. ;_; Poor Harry. Poor Sirius. THIS WORLD IS MESSED UP WHY DID I READ THIS BOOKS???!!!!!!!!1111!!!!???? XD
Kidding. Best books in the world. :3
I definitely prefer the books over the movies, but they're not bad, I've always preffered books over movies. Of course, they can explain more than movies can, or else movies would be liek, 10 hours long. (which I wouldn't mind... xD)

Best seris/move seris ever. Enough said.
I don't think that's something you can decide until you've seen every film series and read every book series. It might be the best out of the ones you've seen so far but that doesn't mean it's the best ever

I'm now reading book 7 for the second time. My mom is still on book 1 since like November but she doesn't read fast and she's also reading a ton of other books at the moment. i don't think she's ever really finished a book...

Yeah, though when i finished it the first time (i was like 9 or 10) I just sat where i was staring into space like: "That's it... It's over... they're all dead... JK Rowling make another harry potter right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I wonder if it'll be the same when i finish it this time...?
