Re: Topaz Gaming Reviews

Game Review: Snowball Fight!

Graphics- 19.5/20: The graphics are amazing I love how you've made everything 3D. I gave you a 19.5 because I felt the graphics are a bit pixelated. The positioning of everything is great except for the shop button, because when you click it your mouse is usually over the buy button for the giant snowballs- So if you have over 50 coins and you want to buy something else you usually end up buying the giant snowballs. One last thing is that when you upgrade to the icicles the enemy snowman throws them at you backwards. Perhaps you could just flip the enemy's icicles horizontally to make him throw them the right way round. Other than them glitches the graphics are great.

Creativity/Originality- 19/20: Very creative and definitely original. I like how you've expanded the creativity of this game by making your snowballs upgradable. There's not many shooters like this on scratch as far as I know of and there's probably hardly any snowball shooters like this. I have some suggestions to make it a bit more creative perhaps, Maybe you can unlock new courses and new characters and perhaps you could broaden the shop choices. As well s that is it possible you could make the snowman upgrade say like every 5 turns, instead of every time you upgrade. But great use of a shooter.

Programming- 16.5/20: The scripting is quite complex and there is quite a few variables. However there are quite a lot of glitches like the ones pointed out in the two paragraphs above. Some of the major glitches are ones like when your walking about sometimes it auto-exits you onto the main menu, or sometimes when your battling neither you nor the enemy are getting damaged- or just sometimes some hits do no damage to the enemy. Despite these the programming is good.

Overall- 19.5/20: A great game with a tonne of potential to expand. I think that you should make a Snowball fight 2 and perhaps just sort out a couple of bugs add some more new features and perhaps even enhance the graphics, then you should hopefully be feature or other. If you sort out the bugs above then this game will be one step closer to perfect. I love the concept of having a snowball fight and honestly would love to see a snowball 2.

74.5/80 - A great game that has lots of potential to expand. Very fun to play and is very creative.

You can play this game here.

Re: Topaz Gaming Reviews

Game Review: Generation- 3000

Graphics- 19.5/20: Brilliant graphics throughout the whole game! The graphics could have some minor improvements in certain places but other than that the graphics are stunning. Places where the graphics could use some improving could be in small places like the back button on the tutorial or the top right corner in the tutorial button to some of the buildings such as the incinerator. I like how you kept everything readable and to scale throughout the game and I also like the 3D graphics that are implemented through most the game. Brilliant graphics.

Creativity/Originality- 17.5/20: I've seen quite a few games like this in scratch but I have to say yours is probably the most detailed and elaborate. I've also seen a couple of games like this outside of scratch. Nevertheless this is still a very creative and original game with features that you have added yourself. The random disasters bit is very creative indeed- not even to mention the disasters that you can use against your own city, such as tornados and alien invasions! For Creativity/Originality I'm giving you a 17.5/20

Programming- 20/20: With 1102 scripts it can only be 20/20! Your scripting skills ultimately surpass my scripting ability's- So unfortunately there's absolutely no way I can help you with this immense scripting feat. I cannot even begin to describe the sheerness and complexity of your scripting powers.20/20.

Overall- 19/20: An extremely fun game with the possibility to grow and grow. With only a few flaws this game is a truly epic series. With the immense amount of thought that you've implemented into this game there's no doubt that you'll be able to come up with new, exiting and ingenious ways to keep this game improving. I can't wait to play the next of the generation series. You clearly deserve a marvellous well-done!

76/80 - A fantastic game that you can really get sucked into! Truly brilliant.

You can play this game here.

It'll be interesting to compare the scores from that and 4000! also, why don't you post the review links on the front page, otherwise no one can find the actual reviews and only the projects.
