This is to do with a Python handler background program.
If you change a variable, Scratch 1.4 issues a broadcast and it can be detected and the value extracted to use it. Great stuff
I want to make something ( a stepper motor) turn a number of steps
Problem is, once you've issued set Turn to 30, then if you repeat the block, nothing is broadcast, which is a quite a bit of a problem.
I would very much like for Scratch to issue a broadcast everytime a variable is referenced in a set or change value block.
If I were to make a changeset, would it still be allowed to be called Scratch and could I still use it to upload projects to the forum as I consider it a bug fix (or a non-invasive change anyway)

You could still upload to the site with that change.
