how do you make a scratch costume into a saved image on your computer

I made a GIF in scratch that I want to use as my avatar but I cannot because it is in scratch.  Is there any way to save the GIFs costumes as pictures so I can transfer them onto a GIF making program online.  Please help.   hmm

On both Mac and PC, I think there's an option for screen shots. I know on PC it's called snipping tool. I'd take screenshots of each of your costumes.

in scratch, right click the costume and click export.

Opens costume > (not sprite) > Export > Save it > It will be a picture in BMP or GIF format.
