The narrator doesn't really have to be unreliable for me, though.

is "suspense" actually a genre or is it just a thing that books can have, because i basically just like any book that has suspense/unpredictability in it

although sci-fi is probably the best then

i dont really have a favourite genre--it really depends on the writing style/quality
i guess i read mostly fantasy, but i enjoy good realistic fiction the most when i can get it

Yeah

I read the, uh, "common" genres which would be sci-fi and fantasy, but realistic fiction can be great when it's the right type.
