"Huh?" Rarse whipped around, staring at the kelp forest behind him. "Did you guys hear something?"
"Yeah. Sounds like singing to me." Coil stated, turning his head.
"Where from?" Epher questioned, looking around, and then they all saw it,
A figure was emerging from the kelp, bruised and tired, sinking to the ground every time she tried to swim upward.
"It...It looks like...A siren... By the sevens seas, she looks terrible!" Amaya said, gesturing towards the cryptid
The siren slowly swam across the sand towards them, brushing past the corals. She attempted to catch a fish, but the fish was ten times faster than her weakened state, and it shot away. The siren's feathers and blue eyes seemed dull, and the crystal drops which hung from her head jingled. She tried to swim to the top of the ocean, but sank the moment she tried. She realized that there was some easier prey to catch, and made her way towards the whale meat.
"Well I'm not helping her, sirens aren't known to be grateful. or anything but cruel." Coil stated.
The siren collapsed in a heap in front of them, and started to sing. Rarse and Epher's eyes glazed over, and their mouths dropped, but Coil stayed focused, eyeing the siren with contempt and suspicion.
"Everyone, don't listen!" Amaya shrieked. Amaya knew little of sirens, but she had heard fish talk about their cruelty and powers.
"Give me food." The siren said eerily.
Amaya frowned at the rest of the group, and inhaled sharply at their expressions, not noticing Coil seemed perfectly fine. Quickly she said, "Snap out of it! I will talk to her." Amaya turned, and continued to Crystal,
"You look... Terrible. No offense, but you look absolutely terrible. You need food. Look, stop doing," Amaya glanced back at the others, "whatever you're doing, and I can try to heal you, after you eat. We have plenty of whale."
"No," the siren glared, her blonde hair covered her face and have her a terrifying look, but the spell seemed to lift off of Epher and Rarse, and they shook their heads vigorously, looking back at the siren with a confused expression.
"Are you always this stubborn?" Amaya asked, exasperated. " Eat. Right. Now."
"Thank you," The tired siren whispered, aware that everyone was now staring at her.
She drank her portion of whale soul, and was about to steal some of the others whale as well, but Coil narrowed his eyes menacingly. Already she was looking better, no longer slumped on the seabeds, and her attitude had clearly made its way back to her.
"What's you're name, what are you doing here anyway, and what happened to you?" Rarse asked.
"My name is Crystal," the siren said, "and what happened to me is none of your concern."
"Did something happen to your family?" Coil asked indifferently.
"Maybe, maybe not," tears welled in her eyes. Not here! she thought desperately, she couldn't give herself away. But it was too late. Epher nodded sympathetically.
"Join us then, to give the humans what they deserve," he offered.
"No," Crystal snapped, her face flushing, "if I wanted to erase the human race, I could do it by myself."
"I totally bet you can, you definitely look the part," Rarse said sarcastically, eyeing Crystal's ripped clothes.
"Don't underestimate me merman," Crystal glared, "I am completely capable to look after myself. So goodbye." She turned to go.
"Wait! Are you sure?" Epher asked.
"I can make my own decision, and I can most definitely survive out there by myself and with nobody else." And with that she swam into the reef. And froze. Her body rigid, she gasped quietly and whipped around, back toward the group, her face trying to sneer but looking scared. "I'll join!"

Waffle, chapters 3/4 or 4/5, the ones where Epher spies on the humans, are we doing those when we finish up to them?

Yeah that sounds like an awesome idea!!
Sorry, I was gone. No internet for 6 days. I am reading through the pages I missed and haven't gotten to this yet.
Speaking of ideas, I'm probably going to take SW out of the Idea Box because its the only one with limited writer positions and its causing lots of arguments.

well, they all have limited author positions, like you couldn't have an army of air cryptids or something

Okay, I don't know if I was supposed to, but I finished my Chapter 3. It may need some editing, since I didn't go over it at all and I did it in like, 2 days. Here we are:
It had been 3 months since the attack on Bual. With each full moon, Epher had traveled to the shore, shed his skin as a seal, and transformed into a human. What was the method behind his madness? Epher went to spy on the evil race of man, learn from them secrets, hoping one would someday lead to the death of the race.
“I’m going up to the surface tonight,” Epher casually commented to Amaya, before taking another chunk out of the tuna Coil had caught for them.
“Tonight is the Festival of Destruction.” Amaya reminded. “Whatever it is can wait until tomorrow.”
“It’s not called the ‘Festival of Destruction’; it’s called the Festival of Cryptids. It’s where they celebrate deaths and discoveries of Cryptids, and plan more destruction.” Epher replied. His mother had explained it all to him one night, a few weeks before the death of Bual. According to Moria, she had been up to the Festival a couple of times before. The images put in his head were horrid…men brandishing spears and torches, chanting, throwing fire in the sea…
“And your point being?”
Epher ignored her. “There will be tanks,” he said, remembering back to the exact wording of his mother. “And the tanks will have Selkies, and Merpeople, and other legendary sea creatures of all kind.” Epher paused. “Amaya, what if I find your mom? I could set her free.”
“The divers took her,” Amaya said. “No matter how much I wish to see my mother again, it will not happen.” Amaya looked away for a moment, obviously containing tears.
“Either way, I’m going.” Epher said awkwardly, wishing he hadn’t brought Amaya or her mother into his spying missions. “I’ll be careful. They won’t recognize me.”
“No, no, because Seals just shed their skins to become a human any old day. No problem, they see that all the time and won’t bother questioning it.”
“Exactly. Can I go now?”
“Fine. But you better go right now, before you find yourself a human earlier than expected.”
Epher looked behind his shoulder to see if she was joking, then grinned at her. “Don’t worry! I’ll be fine!”
Famous last words.
In the distance, brilliant dots of light illuminated the sky blurrily through the water. Torches, realized Epher. “That must be the Festival.” He thought out loud. Swimming towards the surface, he poked his head out of the water to take a peek.
The shore was full of people. Some were men, some were women, all were brandishing spears and torches toward the ocean, or viewing abstract creatures in tanks lined along the beach. The selkie recognized two or three creatures, a mermaid, a Zaratan, and even another selkie. Others were unrecognizable, possibly hybrids of two species. A lynx with gills and a tail, a serpent with ears like a seal and a trunk like an elephant.
Pulling himself onto the beach, Epher didn’t notice as two especially spiteful humans began to make their way over to him. “Well, well,” said the first, grinning maliciously. He was bald, with tattoos lining his arms. “What have we here?”
“Looks like a seal,” the other, another man with a full head of hair and a stubbly chin, replied. “I wonder if it’s a selkie,”
“Been getting plenty of those lately,” Tattoo observed. “Just last week, a selkie hide-out was destroyed. Oil drowned all of them, and they floated away to the ocean before we were able to get a specimen.”
Epher felt himself tense. Trembling, he resisted the urge to bite Tattoo and his friend. How could they destroy a century old village, and then talk about it so loosely? Growling, he backed up a little.
“Uh-oh,” snorted Stubble. “Little selkie here doesn’t like the sound of that. Oh no! A village destroyed! What are you going to do about it, seal-boy?”
“Oh, leave him be, Robert,” a woman, around forty, with glasses perched on her nose, walked up to Stubble. “You’re being idiotic again. Everyone knows that selkies don’t have such markings on their tails.” Glasses walked around to the back of Epher and pointed out what Moria had called his “White Splash”. “Very interesting actually. In the ocean, all kinds of predators would easily spot him because of the mark.”
Stubble joined Glasses at Epher’s tail. “Funny.” He said dryly. Reaching out to feel Epher’s tail, Stubble drew back, startled, when Epher whipped around and growled at him. Baring his fangs, Epher willed the man closer. “Come on,” he thought, careful not to say it out loud. “Just give me an excuse to get revenge. Not a big revenge, but only a small one…”
Stubble touched the mark.
Lashing his tail upwards, Epher hit the man in the face. Stubble drew back, giving Epher time to bite Tattoo. He dragged himself quickly across the beach, hoping to stay hidden a little longer. His hopes were bashed.
“That is not an ordinary seal!” Tattoo yelped, seeing pinpricks of blood welling up on his hand from the bite. “Hey! Get that seal!”
The torches and spears were suddenly aimed at him. A spear went flying toward Epher, almost hitting him on the back. Luckily, Epher swerved, and the spear missed him, instead landing in the sand. A torch landed in front of him, almost scorching his nose. He reeled back, and the torch missed.
Looking behind him, Epher saw that Tattoo and Stubble were hot on his tail, while Glasses was examining his trail. Dodging around bare feet and hands, Epher realized he was among the biggest population of humans he had ever seen in one place at one time. And they all hated him.
A bonfire, huge and flickering with orange, yellow, and red, blocked Epher’s path. “That came out of nowhere,” he muttered. In his seal form, it would take too long to make his way around the bonfire. Already, crews of humans were forming a wall to stop and capture him. Epher saw only one way out of this situation, dead or alive. He transformed into a human, leaving his seal form behind him.
Temporarily, all the humans present were shocked into numbness. Epher leaped up from the sand and tackled the nearest human, pushing his way past the stunned woman. “It’s a selkie.” She prodded her neighbor. “That right there is a selkie!”
Some whispers were excited; others wicked as the sentence spread across the beach. “It’s a selkie!” soon it rose into a chant, then a call for murder.
“Will we let the cryptids terrorize us any longer?” yelled Tattoo to the gathered crowd.
“NO!”
There were a couple murmurs of: “Well, actually,” and “I was, ha, I was um thinking…” Epher ignored the lot of them as he ran, his human legs much faster on land then his seal flippers had been.
Epher needed a safe haven. No matter how fast his new legs were, he couldn’t keep running forever. Spotting a building in the distance, with only a few lights on, he ran towards it. All the humans were on the shore; there was no reason for them to be inside while a beautiful celebration like this was going on.
Behind him, humans were desperately throwing the last of their torches and spears, seeing he was too far away to catch. Epher opened the door to the building, and slammed it shut behind him. Two spears lodged in the door, but the rest came short. Breathing a sigh of relief, Epher looked around.
The building was awe-inspiring but ironic at the same time. Dozens of tanks lined the walls, with sea cryptids and creatures lined up inside of them. Each snarled, baring hideous fangs or tusks when Epher entered. At first, Epher was hurt, and then he realized that they must think of him as one of the humans! Quickly, he morphed into his seal form, then his human form again. Recognition dawned on the faces of the animals, and they nodded greeting.
“What are you doing here, Selkie?” asked a hippocampus. “Why are you walking into the lair of the human trappers? You will get yourself killed!”
“I think he’s with them,” growled a Sea Witch. “He has come to trick us into trusting him, and then kill us! It has always been a trap!”
“Always!” agreed the one in the tank next to her. “Those sly humans have convinced even the most honorable to their side!”
“Yeah,” hissed a serpent, and the others joined in agreement. “Yes! The selkie is on their side!”
Frantic, Epher shook his head. No, that’s not it at all!” They were trying to kill me! I—I was forced to take shelter.”
“Likely excuse.” Said the serpent. He banged against the wall, scaring Epher so badly that he stumbled backwards into another tank. The mutant shark inside growled and banged on the glass. Epher shook his head.
“Please, you don’t understand…”
“I understand fine.” The Sea Witch sneered. She gave a signal, and the sea serpent banged the glass again. Epher baked away, trying to find an exit.
Another crash. Epher walked backwards, and then spun around, preparing to run. Instead, he bumped into Tattoo. Shimmying backwards, Epher saw Stubble emerge from behind Tattoo. “So we meet again, Seal-boy,” he chuckled, as if surprised to see Epher in a room full of monsters.
Epher choked as Tattoo lifted him up by the hair with one hand. “No escaping, selkie,” spat Tattoo. “No one ever escapes.”
There was a final, triumphant crash. The sea serpent was free. His tail thrust powerfully to the side, breaking open tanks of all kinds, until the room was filled half way with water. The cryptids could easily breathe, and more importantly, move. And they were moving towards Epher.
Thinking quickly, Epher transformed into his seal form. Tattoo and Stubble were so distracted by the water reaching up to their shoulders, they didn’t notice as the seal began to swim away.
Epher stopped short. He was surrounded on all sides by cryptids. “You brought those humans here,” the sea witch said, loathing coting her voice. “They—you—were going to kill us. Big mistake,” the serpent slithered through the water, until he had wrapped around the selkie. “No one kills the masters of the sea.”
With those words, the sea witch drifted away, cackling as the serpent squeezed tighter. The rest of the cryptids, even some of the nicer ones from before, swam after their leader.
All breath, every trace of air, was receding from Epher’s lungs. It was pretty ironic, he thought, after all that on the beach, to die in the water. But that was when he heard the buzzing noise. The sea serpent paused and looked up quizzically.
Epher felt sweet air return to his lungs, and twisted to see what the commotion was. Tattoo and Stubble were manning a miniature ship. “Motorboat.” The Sea Serpent whispered, fleeing from the scene.
Still groggy from the past events, Epher confusedly gazed up at the boat. “Motorboat?” It was too late to get out of the way. He could only stand there as a net was lowered and he was drawn into the boat.
Glasses was there with Tattoo and Stubble. She held up some sort of cylinder with a quill on the end. “Just a little poke.” She promised, lowering it into his skin. Instantly, effect began to take hold. Epher was dizzy, and the roof was beginning to spin. “This won’t last long.” Promised Glasses. “Just long enough to get you some water from the sea.”
“And we’re bringing you with us.” Tattoo added gruffly, and then stopped, as if embarrassed for talking to a seal.
“We’re not taking our eyes off you for a second.” Stubble muttered from the wheel.
And then everything went black.

The [monster] inside growled and banged on the glass.

Here are some story ideas for fanfics I came up with:
Possible Title: On the loose: A Harry Potter Fanfic
Genre: Fan fiction
Style: Action, mystery
Summary of Idea: The time of Voldemort is past. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is now safe. Or is it? When students and valuables start disappearing, five Hogwarts First Years decide to take it upon themselves to solve the crime. But when they figure out a band of criminals have escaped from Azkaban, will they have the courage to stand up to the escapees? And will they have the strength to defeat them?
Possible Title: Quest for the Healers: A Warriors Fanfic
Genre: Fanfic
Style: Adventure
Summary of the Idea: Humans have taken the medicine cats of the clans at a Half-moon meeting. There are no cat’s eligible to train as a Medicine Cat at the moment. With sickness and disease spreading through the camp, and nothing to stop it, Star Clan sends cat(s) from each clan to find their healers.
Possible Title: Birds of Prey: A Warriors Fanfic
Genre: Fanfic
Style: Action
Summary of Idea: Owl Clan, Eagle Clan, and Hawk Clan have lived in peace for a long time but when an omen comes foretelling the arise of Bird Clan (the ancestors of the Clans) with the help of certain birds inside each clan, members faithful to the Black Nest (Evil ancestors) emerge to stop them.
For HP Fanfic, they don’t have to be a First Year, but I think they should be.
For Warriors Fanfic, we can decide if we have real clans or clans we make up.
For second Warriors Fanfic, the one with birds, the humans would be called No-Wings. I know it sounds a lot like Omen of the Stars but I didn’t mean for it to sound that way, sorry. It was going to be different but I can’t figure out how to explain it better yet.
** **
Bird Info I have collected:
-Instead of litters, they are called Broods
-For owls
~Barn Owls: typically 5-7 eggs to a brood, but it can get up to 11
~Great Horned Owls: typically 2-3 eggs in a brood, but can get to more than 6
-For Eagles
~Golden &Bald Eagles: typically 1-3 eggs per brood
-Prey percentages
~Barn Owls eat mostly small rodents and other birds, but eat the occasional reptile or amphibian
~Golden Eagles eat mostly small mammals (especially Jackrabbits) and large mammals
~Bald Eagles eat mostly Fish or small mammals and rodents
I know pretty much nothing about Hawks, but I could find out.
