New stuffs!

I have these two redstone textures, and I'm trying to decide which is better.

Option 2:

I'm leaning toward 1 myself, but I think 2 retains more "vanilla".

Definitely number one. Number two is not bad by itself, but when tiled it looks ugly.

If you're trying to have the redstone blocks fit in with the text pack, then I'd choose 2.

Re: Minecraft Official Topic

A mod that allows texture pack makers to connect their textures together.

You see how the default iron block and the long iron block are in the same sceenie?  That's CTM at work.

I htink the iron is too simple.  I'll try adding a hammered look to it.

Nonononono, you can't do all that in the same line.

Code:

public static final Block example;
example = new BlockHardDirt(440, 1);
example.setHardness(1.5F);
example.setResistance(10F);
example.setStepSound(soundStoneFootstep);

Lol yes you can.

Can you post the specific error message?

Lol, it's kinda obvious from what he told us:

Code:

Syntax error: Identifier expected

And the only way you could do it in one line was if all of those methods were returning the block object, which I doubt they are.

You have never modded Minecraft? >.> almost all the methods in Block return this; Mainly it would be helpful to see what line and stuff.

Diamond seems... off. Try making it much more crystalline.

Second one. First one wouldn't look great filling the nether.

Re: Minecraft Official Topic

Make the crystal chunks bigger, something like this, which I found on Google:
this texture

I'd go with 1st netherrack.

I don't think so.  It doesn't like redstone.
