why can't we import our own songs and sounds. If I had this I could make my games much better!!!

You can import your own songs and sounds, Scratchers do that all the time. 
Are you having a problem importing your own sounds? If so, what error message are you seeing?
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease
