Please try to stay on topic. Sorry, but I'm really sensitive about steering away from the main focus...

Look at the thread title:

"Hidden" "Humour" in "Children's" "Entertainment".

CoD is none.

Notice that you didn't put quotes around "in". It is unfortunately popular so on your scale my post fits.

The game isn't even targeted to adults at this point, it's targeted to the five-year-olds who want to see blood on the screen.  If it were targeted towards the adults, voice chat would have been removed a decade ago to deal with squeakers.

Er...
Spme of the newer CoDs are rated 17+

Just because kids play it does not make it a kids game.

That means God of War would be a kid game... Even with those "scenes"

Putting that aside, there was a Slender reference in MLPFiM. I cant remember which episode, but Mrs Cake was standing in the background for a whole scene, staring at Rainbow Dash with a blank face. Like pure white. And around her it was blurred. XD

Sounds disturbing and isn't really humour - though it is hidden and in children's entertainment.

honestly, in my country it can only be advertised after ten o'clock. i dont immediately leap to the conclusion of five year olds when i think of people up after ten o'clock, but sure, i guess some might be awake

Really?
Those ads can air anytime here, but mostly on channels five year olds aren't watching.

"Guns" is an offensive word now?
Oh god, what is this world coming to?

On the note of the topic.
The ending "A slide show?" in Chrono Trigger  (Beat final boss after seeing sealed door opened, but before opening it yourself) is basically made of mildly mature humor.  That and a few external references to movies beyond the game's own rating.  And the main protagonist gets his only lines ever, which will just be neat for children but funny for adults who have come to understand that this never happens in the genre and that it is, in fact, a joke.

Also, you're being quite immature.  Caps lock is not cruise control for cool, it does not help your point in being conveyed.  Please refrain from using it except in crucial circumstances, for short periods of time.

Oh wait why am I becoming a mod please help no I don't want to be serious
