Actually, if a Siren sings (basically all sirens are female) the opposite gender is captured by the song. The siren basically looks like the most beautiful creature, and the song is heard different to each victim. The victim hears her saying if they come with her, they get all they have ever dreamed for.

Er.... Doesn't Coil want the throne? Epher wants to find other selkies? Amaya wants her mother back? Font they all want a home away from humans?

Also, a creature could theoretically build up resistance to siren's song. It would take years of listening to it and restraining yourself, and finally you could be partially expended from the affects tongue

"You give me no choice. Once he hears to his heart's content, sails on, a wiser man.
We know all the pains that the Greeks and Trojans once endured
on the spreading plain of Troy when the gods willed it so—
all that comes to pass on the fertile earth, we know it all!"

"Uhh... I feel dizzy. whoa!" Epher yelled then collapsed.

"Me too..." Said coil, and then he collapsed on top of him

"Thanks!"

Wait she thought, "Why is there a note here? It says: Join us cryptid, and fight humans."

She quickly wrote back a note, sneaked back and put it next to the rock she was hiding behind.

or, as a king, he could have been trained to resist it.
