Scratch

Hi all,

I'm brand new to Scratch and the forum.

I've installed Scratch in our school's Linux Thin Server network (Edubuntu 12.04) and it works fine on the server but doesn't work on the client machines. The Scratch icon is there in the menu of the clients and when clicked it takes you to the right location but produces just a blank white screen.

I was going to try running it as a "fat client" instead of as a thin client but when I went to build the client the script "ended abnormally" and reported "E: Package 'scratch' has no installation candidate". This is odd because sudo-apt-get install scratch works (right now it reports it already has the newest version of scratch). So why is it failing to find it when building the client (now fat)?

Does anyone have any info on all of this in the LTSP environment?
