Well, I'm not a song writer but just some ideas. Anyway, what's the animation going to be like? Also shall I get working on the logo or something along those lines (also, going off topic now, shall I design the cover of your single or album or whatever?)

Well normally what we do here is focus on the words - that way we can decide what needs to be shown in the animation and what fits in. So you can sit back and relax or join in until we have decided what the lyrics are.

The logo - I haven't decided but something that has a band to it or something. You could experiment and see what you come up with. Or wait until we get ideas then design. But we don't have many members yet so....

Well I was thinking the intro could start off really calm and slow and then break into a lot of techno and the singing with the typical song structure (being verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/(verse)/chorus) We could also add instrumental solos from people in the collab or get people in the community to audition with different instruments.
Or just start with heavy techno music.
For music, probably four chords repeated (or around 4 chords) throughout but in different ways.
For words/lyrics - I think I might record an example of the different compositions I had in mind and see what we could use, change it and add words then put it together. Anyways, going to my concert now soooo catcha laters.

First idea I liked best; perhaps make it a medley to represent the different ways we use/feel about Scratch?  What style are your compositions?

Style.....one's really spooky or feels that way, one is quite sad or minor and the others are happy and major. A medley isn't a bad idea actually - I'll see what I can do

A medley - wouldn't that be a bit complicated? (just asking). As for the styles, I would pick the happy one to show that Scratch is awesome.

Maybe it depends what music we mix together, whether it goes together and how. As for styles, the happy one seems like a good idea IF we weren't doing a medley - but see what Starscream thinks of it first

Okay, so how 'bout this:
Start with spooky for when you first join and aren't sure of yourself as a beginning programmer.  Then transition into happy for when you get your first comment/friend, and transition into sad for when you aren't getting many views (we all feel that way one time or another).  Slowly, build into happy; you start gaining some friends and you realize that Scratch isn't about becoming famous or getting a million views a project, then into maybe a march sort of thing.  What do you think?

Alrighty I can do that - I'll see if I can link the different bits of music together. Thing is that I don't want to use all of them in case I run out of ideas in future. I'm also going to think of what the chorus lyrics will be too. Let's get going guys.

Violinty - You could maybe try design the logo for us - or just do what you do best. Since we haven't nailed the music down, we can't exactly finalize the animation scheme. Anything could change at any point at this stage.

Yes sure! It's ok though! You won't have to work on it unless you want to or have nothing else to do. We have currently decided to make a theme tune for Scratch. I (as always) will compose the music, then probably you and Starscream create the lyrics (see the front page for the basic idea of the song) and Violinty, our new member, will create some graphics!
