Copying and Creating : A Huge Difference

Hi, I am Awesomestar360, and I am here to talk to some of the scratchers about the difference between copying and creating...

Now, I can't say there is a rule of thumb, because the difference between copying and creating is fairly debatable. I will give you a scratch definition of both then you can post something below asking and posting a hypothetical question.

Creating :  If you have an idea that is similar to another idea for a collab, but it works differently than the other one and you start the collab, this would be creating.

Example : Scratcher1 has made a collab about making a starwars game. It will be a first person shooter and you will be a clone trooper. Scratcher2 wants to make a collab about making a starwars game after scratcher1. It will be a story game and you will be a jedi.

Copying : If you look at some ones idea for a collab, take the idea, then put a different name to it, that would be copying.

Example : Scratcher3 made a collab about giving people feed back about their collab. They make a form and a template for each review. They call their Checking Collabs. Scratcher4 wants to make another one of those. Scratcher4 makes a collab called Scratch Review. They copy the template and put the description of the collab in a different format then post the topic.

As you can see, there can be many different situations you can get yourself into. Make sure that if you think it might be copying, you talk to the creator of the collab, or post a hypothetical question below!!!

~Please don't use actual usernames or collab names~
