This.
Now if they think it's spyware or something, you could simply point out that millions of users are currently using the program with no problem, showing them said projects and these forums.

Hi muno1, sorry to hear that the parental controls won't allow you to download Scratch, but it's not really something you're "Making and Creating". I moved it to "Questions About Scratch".
If your parents are a bit worried about you downloading things, you can ask them to download it for you.

Then turn off the parental controls.
You can't just turn off parental controls; you need a password or something of the like. Otherwise there'd be no point to them being implemented.

Well they obviously turned it on for a reason. If it was turned off whenever he asked, there'd be no point to them being turned on.
Usually, downloading will require a(n admin) password, so just ask your parents to download Scratch and type it in.

You could also wait until Scratch 2.0 comes out; it's completely online, no download required.
Or just go here.
I didn't say that because he's new. he can't go there because his account isn't on there yet.

That's why I don't have em and are really secret.
People can't decide whether they have them or not; they're imposed by a parental/guardian unit
