Jessie's Backstory (When She Loved Me) - Toy Story 2
The Whole Prologue Sequence with Carl and Ellie - Up
These aren't exactly "tragic", more emotional

The Jessie backstory song... :'(
When I was on a camping field trip for school, I got homesick and that song kept playing in my head.

I know that this isn't a movie or TV show, but Rosilina's backstory in Super Mario Galaxy. (The ending scene was also pretty emotional.)

Everyone says they cried at the end of "Toy Story 3". Most people forget that they also cried during the beginning of "Up".

What about Jessie's backstory from Toy Story 2?
Are you talking about the fact that it's been mentioned in, like, half the posts here already?

I was the first to mention it, the rest were just quoting my post.

I didn't cry at either of those scenes.
In fact I don't cry at anything in media ever, except maybe the ending of The King's Speech (I was 11 and an emotional person back then okay!) And The Plague Dogs, though that I had a perfectly good reason for tearing up.

I don't think that I've ever cried because of any children's movies.

Manly McManlyMan.
No, I've definitely cried because of movies/TV before. Children's films that I've seen haven't been particularly moving, though.

Well, Life of Pi is debatable as a kid's movie, but the whole end half of the movie is pretty tragic.
