Very beautiful site!
Did you make it yourself?
:) Thank you, and yes, it was completely (hand)coded using gedit.

fix your “ etc. problems
and the profanity filter causes some problems; it rendered shore s*e

I like it! It looks sleek and minimalsitic.
Reading the square topic post areas in the scrolling post looker area (sorry, uh, front page?) is kind of hard to see. Maybe make the squares more contrasted against the background and the text darker?
I also don't like the use of what would seem to be reddit's commenting system. I think a site like this should just be in a conversational flow - like an average forum (like this one).
The registering was very convenient, awesome.
Organization of categories seems a bit weird, but it doesn't matter.
Quotation marks aren't working.

Done.
Fixed.
That's quite valid. Added.
You should now be able to have numbers/hyphens/underscores in your username as well.

Try again? :/
The tables were truncated for some reason when the server managed to connect to mysql again, after a period when connections were refused.
All users/comments/threads were emptied, so you may have to re-register.

Wish I waited until now to register, so I wouldn't have had to be "fireTwoOneNine".
Also, the site renders very weird on Android phones (can't make a screenshot atm, sorry).
Otherwise, the site's awesome.

The 'users' table was truncated along with all the others, so you may have to re-register anyway.
Also, how does it look? Could you describe it?
And thank you.

Thank you for actually taking the time to critique it thoroughly.
That's an interesting point. I will change that.
When you refer to reddit's commenting to system, do you refer to the threaded discussion, or the sorting of comments by votes and 'hotness' (although the comments on averr are sorted simply by time)?
What order do you think the categories should be in?
Quotation marks should be fixed.

The side bar is pushed up over the center part (thread boxes), for example

No, it is like it is normally, just laying over the thread boxes.

It just says "An error occurred. Please check submitted information."

Yes, they're salted before hashing.
