Both of the game are pretty old by now (8 years since II, I think), but they are still very fun.
My favorite maps are probably Hoth, Coruscant, and Mos Eisley.

I remember playing the 2nd one at a friends house. It was pretty fun!

About when I was 5, my friend had a PS2 and I had a Gamecube, so whenever I'd go to his house we'd always play Battlefront II. I don't remember a whole lot of it, but I do remember it was really fun, the Hoth battle, and that I was jealous he had a PS2. :P

My brother and I once went on a streak of playing this, and we loaded up Coruscant over and over again on the premise that "Coruscant is so great it can't get boring".
It didn't really.

I used to play #2 a lot, never did the storyline because even now it's just impossible, and after a while you start to not become the hero just to enjoy the shooting.
I used to have #1 but that got lost somewhere, I remember the maps on it being amazing, I believe Bespin was my favorite, it had platforms where you could get into vehicles, but there were still people fighting on the platforms, so it wasn't just vehicles like #2.
I still play a lot of conquest on #2, and I mean a lot, the AI is quite simple and even on expert it's really easy so I kinda just got bored of the game, but I go back to it every now and then to play Kamino or the Rebel's ship from A New Hope (can't remember the name of the level).
I really wish they'd just release a sequel, even just a HD remake with some enhanced AI and more maps like Bespin.

The AI may stink, but I play with other people most often so they make up for it.
Some maps do seem impossible to win depending on side though. Coruscant is generally fair, as you both get a starting room directly entering the main room, and the other rooms have their own advantages. I've seen Hoth go both ways so there's nothing wrong with it. But there are some maps I remember (I think the weird trippy plant planet) where it was noticeably one-sided (Endor too, maybe?).

Kashyyyk is stupidly biased, one side gets lots of vehicles the other side gets a wall (that dies after a few hits anyway) and it's always a giant war outside their base.

I have II, but my computer is too old to play it. I can only play it on my mom's computer.

I only have the DS version, but it's pretty fun. I really like the Hoth levels and taking down the AT-AT walkers.
