Seems like it was a good year for gaming.
Also, all of these (got some of the above off this page lol). Crash Bandicoot (the first) and Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall are some highlights, but I've never played them.'96 and '99 were both awesome.
96 had Bubsy 3D: Furbidden Planet, one of THE worst games ever.

So?
96 was still an amazing year for gaming. The Nintendo 64 came out that year, and the greatest RPG series ever conceived, Pokemon (at least in Japan).
99 was the year of SSB, Gen II of Pokemon, and a lot of other games too.

In 1999 Sonic Adventure for the US came out. I can't think of any other good 1999 games right now.
