Hi, I just wanted to know, what is the difference between flagging comments and deleting comments. Can people get banned or temp-banned for getting to many flagged comments?

Flagging a comment (as well as a tag, a project etc) sends a message to the ST, and they review the comment and take action depending on the severity of it. Deleting comments just removes the comment from one of your projects, with no message being sent to the ST.
You can get banned if you flag too many comments for no reason, I think. One or two accidental flags won't do any harm, though.

If you flag a comment, it sends a notification to the Scratch Team. If you delete it, it just deletes it and nothing else happens.
If you repeatedly flag comments for no reasons, you will get a notification or ban.

You can only delete comments that are posted on your projects. But you cannot delete comments on other people's projects. If you find a comment that is insulting, violent or mean, flag it. It tells the Scratch Team that there is a flagged comment. And they will view and delete the comment if it violated the guidelines.
Unlike flagging projects, the Scratch Team usually won't send you a messagge critizing you about flagging stuff.
