Top Gear - American or British Version?

American or British version, which is better? I personally love the British version. The American version just makes no sense.

Personally I like the American version better, but I'm probably alone.

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.

Re: Top Gear - American or British Version?

The British version.

Very few shows succeed in transferring to a different country unless it's the same exact thing airing internationally (like it should be done).

But I mean Britain is guilty too. What type of Mythbusters ripoff is "Bang Goes The Theory"?

Re: Top Gear - American or British Version?

I know! I hate that. They copied the title from one show (Big Bang Theory) and the concept of a show from another (Mythbusters).

It's actually a more 'scientific' and more 'informative' version - though the concept is similar.

Mythbusters looks at myths, usually in culture or legend.

Bang Goes The Theory looks at scientific theories.

British.

American top gear = 3 fat blokes in muscle cars
Australian top gear = 3 fat blokes in v8 holdens
British Top Gear = 3 fat blokes doing fun challenges on limited money, and actually driving nice cars.

They aren't remotely similar. Mythbusters examines myths to see how true they are. Bang Goes the Theory is simply a science show.

Lol true. And I'm really looking forward to part 2 of the Nile series. I might watch it this week.

@poopo: Use this website to find the episode you want to watch, then click the search links button. Should give you a few websites you can watch it from.
