@Mint How about a random story involving a Duck billed platypus, they're the most amazing things ever! It can be called Harry??? XD

XD Actually, Harry's a hobo in New York. You, my dear friend, are crazy!

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

He could be a homeless platypuss.  sad
And i'm not crazy, my mother had me tested( Cookie if anyone gets the reference  big_smile )

If you won't write about the Platypus of amazingnus then i shall!!!

Harry had always known he was different, perhaps it was the way he was self aware, that he could speak human(which isn't that great, they're not really that interesting), Perhaps it was that he was a really snappy dresser.
One day, as Harry was having a nap on the bank of an australian lake and dreaming happy waffle-filled dreams he heard a noise. It was something along the lines of BANGCRASZINGPOPAGhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

And if there is anyone who thinks a talking tuxedo wearing platypus isn't awesome they are strange, strange people.

Note to all people who have not yet voted in our christmas competition, please do. We are currently at a tie DX

Is pinni gonna start a new thread soon?

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Who me? Why do we need a new thread?
Having a big fat '2' at the end of a collab thread name doesn't make it cooler. It makes it very obvious that the original thread owners weren't organised enough to keep it going. Look at style xi. We're on 3 and no one's as interested as they were for the first two.

I thought you were leader, and that whoever was leader would make a new thread so they could edit members and the library. I don't know really D

SO yeah. And it could just be Bookworm studio's continued...

It doesn't really matter whether we start the new thread or not. So, I'm supposed to vote for the Christmas writing contest or something? I'll check it out.

Edit: Where is it? >.<

Someone bump it, get it out from under all the trash and blow the dust of so humhum can vote.  smile
most collabs aren't trash I spose. But they do make it hard for each other.

Anyone else ever have loads of awesome story idea's, but then when you go to write them down they fail or you forget them? It's so annoying -_-

I have that all the time, but it is worth chasing the ideas down. You don't even need to think of any if you've got a book on.  smile

Hey, this is a fun sounding idea: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=115348 if anyone wants to join

I'm going to write a story for it called "Memories". In it there is a secret order dedicated to the collectiong of memories to prevent the destruction of humanity(It's explained in the story) . The hero is a waffle-loving apprentice called Jay  big_smile  It's not as stupid as it sounds, the waffles are not a major part of the story; i just love waffles.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Rows and rows, racks upon racks of bottles. Tall and slim, short and wide, glass, wood, plastic, ornate oriental containers, rough leather waterskins. If you described the contents as being summers, winters, joy, sadness, shades of blue and red and yellow and green, the scent of a rose, the taste of burnt toast; you wouldn’t be close. This is where the memories go. Every memory ever remembered. This is where, on a small shelf in a forgotten corner, a small bottle stood. Tiny ripples appeared on the surface of the contents. It was the first of many.

The first paragraph of the story  big_smile

The bottles remind me of the Sark's memory jugs in Wolves of the Beyond.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

I've never won anything. Partly because I keep all the good stuff for when I need it most.
Or when I don't, and I use it or keep it for something that'll leave me with something that I'd prefer to the prize of a writing contest.
Like to get it published, or to make money out of it, like I hope to do with the things I'm writing at the moment.

Oh right john. If you ever want a storyline for a game, come here, but apart from that, we aren't too interested.  smile
@cheeseater That's a good app. And definitely use the thing in your signature, it's your signature and that image is free for anyone!
But yeah, only thing with the app, give us an example of a brilliant sentence, and make it better, and you're completely in!

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

We should write a collab thing. We each add one sentence until we all get bored XP.
Here's how it goes:
Person 1: There once was a guy named Guy.
Person 2: There once was a guy named Guy. He liked to watch Spongebob.
Person 3: There once was a guy named Guy. He liked to watch Spongebob. One day, Spongebob wasn't on.

So basically we copy+paste the last person's post and add another sentence to it. LOL it's so weird!

Ok, thanks! Here is the sentence:

Before: The boy jumped on the wall.
After: The scared boy leaped onto the old stone wall.

So, am i in?  smile

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Yes, definitely, and mints game sounds fun! Don't copy and paste stuff, just every time you have a sentence, put it in a quote box or a code box so we know that that bit's the sentence.
And if it goes rude, don't be put off.
Here's a starting sentence whether we need one or not:

were you ever so bored, you thought you might just disappear? Were you ever so bored, and everyone else around you was so happy that you felt like you weren't even there? Were you ever just a faded image while people talked around you? People would have cared if you weren't there, but you wouldn't. Your Mind was adrift on a sea of boredom and you were slowly gliding somewhere more intersting.

max 10 sentences per entry. Try to Leave it open, and someone add a character.

But if we quote, then people will find it difficult to trace the whole story.

Re: Bookworm Studios: The new and unique Scratch Collaboration!

Have you ever thought about making a interactive book? Would we be able to do it?
If we made a few then we could make a gallery and turn it into a libary.
When i say interactive i mean like page turning and small games to do with the story, and maybe a option to read it to you.

What do you think, good idea or just stupid?
Thanks, Cheeseeater  smile
