The Robotic Gamer (Webshow)

Now this is not so easy to understand so let me explain. You know about lets plays, reviews etc. for video games? Well, this is going to be just that but a little different. Since its going to be called "The Robotic Gamer", im going to use a computer voice or type in annotations or "quotes". I know most people do this already on youtube, but its mostly because they don't want to use their voice or don't own a microphone. I'm going to do this so I can create something more unique and bizarre. Also note that this is not going to be a youtube channel but instead a webshow with its own website. I have a link to it for anyone who is interested in the webshow. There should be a journal (blog/log) entry shortly after I post this topic.

Okay here is the link to the website. http://www.theroboticgamer.webs.com

Does this idea sound like it may be entertaining to watch?

Re: The Robotic Gamer (Webshow)

Listening to robotic voices gets very annoying and hard to listen to for me.

I don't mean those kind of voices. I'm talking about a voice you would hear if you were using an automated system or if you  used the voice from the ease of access features on windows. The voices your talking about aren't the ones I planning on using. I plan on using a voice that sounds just like a person, but the flow of their voice is not human. Hold on for a minute so I can find a good example.

I thought he was talking about those ones that sound so horrible, that it doesn't at all sound comprehensive or like a real person. That's okay though. I know that they can be untolerable for many people. I find it funny and amusing because everything they say doesn't sound right in terms of the tone they use. For example, they could be saying something sarcastically and talk like they are seriously speaking.

That's why im taking time to find a voice that's tolerable and actually comprehensive.

Not all of them. Some sound right while the rest sound horrible. That's why im looking for the ones that sound "right" and are actually tolerable to the ears.

Yeah, that's what im trying to do. Give it an interesting effect. I already found a good voice program so I finally start creating episodes. One thing I know are these rules.

1. Do not make the voice talk to fast or too slow.
2. Make sure the pitch is set to a tolerable level.
3. Make sure the voice you're using is clean and flows at least decently in speech.
