I apologize if this has already been addressed somewhere, but I haven't seen it explicitly stated in the forums. Is there any way, other than right-clicking a list and hitting "export," to write to a file? I'm working on a project that is going to require saving a large amount of information, and I would like it to automatically save to a file rather than having to do it manually. I'm also concerned that storing everything in a list without exporting to a file will bog down the program.
On a related note, is it possible to read data in from a file?
Thanks in advance!

I'm sorry but neither of those are possible. Scratch cannot interact with outside sources.

Well, that's not quite true. I'm using Kinect2Scratch as an outside source to acquire data, and I've seen a number of other posts alluding to Scratch's interoperability with other programming languages. Unfortunately, the specifics of how to go about getting data out of Scratch are even more scarce than the instructions on how to get it in.

Well, besides for sensors, but Scratch can't read/save files. Panther does that, but you can't upload it online...

Hmm... Panther doesn't seem to exist anymore, or at least the download link from their site goes nowhere. I tried looking at some other Scratch variants before, but I need to make sure they can use the sensor data so I can use the Kinect and most don't seem to. BYOB does, but it doesn't output files either from what I can tell, and their newer version is online-only, just like Scratch 2.0, neither of which support sensor data! Is there a mirror for the Panther setup file elsewhere so that I could at least try it, or do you know of a mod that will save files and read sensor data?
