I dunno if he was the first to play Slender, per se, but he is otherwise known for the first Let's Play video of it. It is quite surprising how fast the Slender Man game phenomenon took off after it.

slender wasn't let's played because it's not that great of a game. it took an unintentionally creepy game mechanic from another game and combined it with the already well known slender and marblehornets stories. if anything, it was an experiment in unity that ended up getting a lot of attention by accident.
and conker's bad fur day is by no means a game that isn't well known. when it came out, the progress in graphics for the time, solid gameplay, and well-delivered jokes gave it very well deserved critical acclaim. you might only know of the game because of pdp, but the reason people like it is because it is a good game, not pdp by a long shot.
(also on the poll i mentioned earlier tobuscus got 3rd place in the same category)

To me, Toby's accent is annoying.
And to be honest? I rarely laugh at his gameplay videos.
Also, I never heard of Swoozie...

I actually, I knew it from a mention in a gaming magazine I subscribe to. So I was quite curious about what the game was like. Slender does do well when it comes to atmsophere, but I agree that the engine isn't the best. That's why I'm looking forward to The Arrival.

Seriously, though, could someone please explain the entertainment behind watching someone say [insert word for male private part here] every 5 seconds?
Smosh is pretty good, although not as good as they used to be. Their animation channel sucks, though.
I personally think that swoozie is the best out of the 3 (Especially the Confessions of a Disney Employee and Cheating In ______ videos). He just has this ability to make humorous videos WITHOUT cussing or insulting people and, occasionally, leaving a good message.
