Viewing script in Scratch

Couple of questions, really:

1.Is it possible to view the raw code instead of the Scratch blocks when building a game?I'd like to translate one I have currently to understand what sort of thing you'd tap into another language.

On that basis,

2.Would it be possible to transfer a project into another language, say,Java?
I'd really like to take programming to the next level, using what I've learnt on scratch as a basis.

Re: Viewing script in Scratch

Well, there's no direct block-to-code, but you can use online documentation to convert it.  I've done that in the past.  It's not faster, but it helps you learn.
