We Buy White Albums
I was browsing /r/vinyl and came across this exhibit, which I found interesting:
We Buy White Albums here's a different link too
This guy is collecting as many original copies of the Beatles' self-titled album, also known as the White Album, no matter what condition they're in. At the end of this exhibit, he's going to press a double LP of several hundred original copies of the White Album playing at once, each with their own flaws.

I think the idea is really cool.
So basically, he'll make a double LP of every copy playing at once, and basically see how the songs sound when the imperfections of each are overlayed?
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Yes. A sample of a hundred of them is available here.

He's not really trying to preserve it, just see what each is like. As he said in the interview, he likes knowing the stories behind each and finds the damaged ones often more interesting than perfect ones.

I really love how it very slowly eases out of sync until everything is completely out of whack and you can't understand a word.
