Super smash bros Z and M.U.G.E.N is cancelled.

Why because it would take so long to make and I do not want to get sued by Nintendo and mugen is to hard to make.

They might, and yes, it doesn't belong here. Nintendo would have the right to sue, but in general they sue the people who are printing hundreds of pirate discs and selling them. That said, it's not a good idea in any case to infringe copyright, and not making a clone game is a good decision.

Uh... Creative Commons?

I'm sure Nintendo won't act like NAMCO...

... Will it?

I'm unsure on that one, but I don't think they can sue you as long as you remove the project upon their request.

your not making money off the project so they can't sue you.

Yeah that's right pretty much but they could sue if your re-making the game as the original. AKA, making it exactly the same but only free. Just to be safe, either don't make the game or email Nintendo with a request to have permission to make the game without any lawsuit.

They can still sue but usually focus their time and money on people who are charging for it. (Still a bad idea to infringe the copyright though - I'm not encouraging it.)

Educational license- Nintendo won't sue.

Not to mention minors can't be sued.
