So, the two most recent number-one singles here in America are just Internet memes.
...This depresses me.The two most recent ones were Harlem Shake and One Direction.
So 1D's a meme now?
Harlem Shake though... it's just weird how popular that is.WRONG
The most recent are Harlem Shake and Thrift Shop
Nope.
It was Harlem Shake and One Direction's One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).
I swear.

That only has like 5 million views which is not a lot for music videos
It's not even an original song

I've recently gotten into Teenage Fanclub lately. I'm going to listen to Bandwagonesque, later today. I think they're a pretty good band - and mind you, that first album of theirs should have ranked them as one of the best alternative/grunge bands of the early 90's. Shame.

I have that one but haven't listened to it yet; Songs from Northern Britain is quite good, though (that being the one I've listened to).

Didn't get to that one yet. I'll check it out soon enough.
I also heard that "Bandwagonesque" topped Spin Magazine's year-end best albums in 1991, even in the face of Nevermind, Loveless, and Out of Time (though the latter probably isn't R.E.M's best record).

It did, as well as their list of best albums since they started.

Man, Spin really must've liked Teenage Fanclub.
