Perhaps we should make a timeline to celebrate the release of Scratch 2.0?
I want to do it, but I don't have much time.
I can like help a little though.
We need to start by listing *important* events and their dates.
Later we can include descriptions and pictures.
Some possible events:
Collab Challenge
Collab Camp 1 and 2
Closing of Misc
New Forum Structure
2.0 beta (and alphas)
Migration of TBGs
Release of 1.4 (and other versions)
All the Scratch Days
Separation of Inspiration and More (I'm kinda fuzzy about this one, I don't think I was active on the fora yet at this time)
Creation of SDS?
Creation of curator rows?
Disabled/re-enabled images on forums?
Creation of wiki?
Moderator elections
Political/legal stuff, like the removal of the pacman project
Addition of New Scratcher status
...
[any more important things here]
...
If you want to help temporarily, just post some events/dates to help.
If you want to help with the entire project, say so (and start working on something). List a job you think might be important (event finder, date finder, description writer, etc.)

This sounds like a great idea!

It is a great idea - sad to see nearly nobody replied
While I'm an old user myself, I don't remember the history of Scratch well, and pretty much anything I remember is related to the forums.
Some interesting wiki articles:
Scratch Day
Scratch Versions
Text Based Games Forums
This could be made as an animation of sorts, perhaps? With some fancy music in the background and cool effects.

I was originally just thinking of a timeline where you can go left and rigt, but an animation seems kinda cool!
If you've ever seen Brawl in the Family's "The History of Nintendo" that is kinda like what I was imagining, and then listing all the event really quickly, and showing more info afterwards.
Oh yeah, I also forgot: 1/2/3 million projects!
