I have just deployed Scratch to the Windows 7 Pro PCs in our school using GPO and I find the Scratch.ini which was in the same folder as Scratch1.4.msi on the server has not been copied to the Scratch folders on the PCs. I then tried doing a "manual" install from the msi and it still didn't copy the scratch.ini. So I copied it myself, but when running Scratch and doing an Open or Save As, it defaults to the "My Documents\Scratch Projects" folder and not the network folder specified in Scratch.ini (Home=S:\Scratch\*) i.e. it is ignoring it.
Can anyone tell me a) why it is not being copied b) when it is there, why it is being ignored?

Sorry - been away from this for a while. Thanks for the suggestion.
No possibility of syntax errors.
To the as-installed ini file I have tried adding, variously (and only):
Home=S:
Home=S\scratch
Home=S:\scratch\
Home=S:\scratch\*
and I have tried with the folder absent or present before starting Scratch. (As a matter of interest, should it need to be present or should Scratch create it first time?)
S: is the user's mapped home directory as defined in the AD User Record and various folders are happily redirected to it so there are no permissions issues. I can accept the install copy may not work and I may have to use a computer startup script to run msiexec and a copy of the ini rather than GPO deployment but I do need it to work when Scratch runs.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

And that second example should read:
Home=S:\scratch
