How did you get your mom to watch it?
My mom usually can't sit through a single episode. My mom can't stand it either! Yet, she was the one who took me and my brother to see it in theaters when we were little 0.o I still have no idea why my dad wasn't the one who took us.
I never saw it in theaters unfortunately, my parents refused to take me.
"Wah you'll see it on DVD wah."
My mom hated it when she saw it with us in theaters but it was mainly because she doesn't really like the style of comedy.
Or much comedy at all for that matter.

My mom likes comedy movies but not the ones I like.
She has way different tastes when it comes to movies from me.
It's like, I watch science fiction and action like The Matrix, Terminator 2, etc., and then when there's like one violent scene she just walks in at the exact wrong moment and then she's like "Wah why are you watching this filth".
Anyways I recently watched The Social Network. I remember when it first came out my dad wouldn't let me see it and I was stuck upstairs holed up in my room watching some other film while my sister and mom and dad watched it.
It was a great movie though. It was a little slow but I loved the musical score, very haunting and atmospheric. The acting was awesome, the characters felt very real to me.

How can anyone dislike comedy? I LOVE IT SO FREAKIN MUCH! Comedy, off-romance (and I don't mean off-romance as in romance that goes on off the screen, I mean the other kind), and fantasy/adventures are my favorite genres!

And even without dialouge, they do make it funny.

OH MY GOD I loved this movie when I was younger! Whenever I went to my grandparent's house I would watch this over and over again.
