The Seven Ages of a Scratcher

All of Scratch's a stage,
And all the Scratchers merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one geek in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the newbie,
Helplessly stuffing a reporter in a boolean input.
And then the game-maker, with his glitchy code
And pixelated sprites, doing everything for
A few more views. And then the forumer,
Typing like furnace, with a long woeful post
In the Show and Tell. Then a Misc. addict,
Full of strange emoticons and big sigs,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble LOL
Even if almost banned. And then the helper,
With 2000+ post count with many hundred views,
With posts severe and fewer  tongue  than  wink ,
Full of common sense and code examples;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the Wikian,
With many edits and pages,
Constantly improving a tutorial, and adding commas.
With is impeccable English and large knowledga
Turning again toward simple scripts, elegant
Formatting and subtle graphics. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second newbishness and unfortunate quitting,
Sans ideas, sans excitement, sans time, sans everything.

Re: The Seven Ages of a Scratcher

Interesting. Sounds like I've been stuck in Stages "Misc." and "Helper" (alternating) for a while.

I think I was a helper before I quit.  But I'm back for 2.0!  smile

Yeah, I'm mostly inactive.  I check in once in a while though.  If you want to contact me, I have a contact form at my website, http://escratch.org

Me:

the game-maker, with his glitchy code

Typing like furnace, with a long woeful post
In Misc
Full of strange post formatting

Full of common sense
