Creepypasta SM3DLand

Did anyone hear about the creepypasta of Super Mario 3D Land? Does anyone know why the ghost pops up at the end of the map in world 4-4?

So is the ghost in the background suppose to appear on purpose?! YT said it was ghost or alien something lol
