I feel like Scratch 2.0 is taking over. I feel like the only person who doesn't want Scratch 1 to end. ╥﹏╥

Almost all my friends don't want 2.0. Yep the reason:
They not want change.
It's been like this 1.x for some time now.

Personally, I'm happy about the new era that's about to begin/is beginning.

I don't want 1.4 to end. 2.0 still needs a lot of work before I even consider switching.

Well, I guess that it depends on the person. For some, Scratch 1.4 holds many memories and joys which they don't want to get rid of, kind of like having a pet for seven years and then being offered a new one that supposedly is better. To others, Scratch 2.0 is like a breath of the future, ridding themselves of the shackles of the past. And to others, they don't know what to think of Scratch 2.0 because it's like suddenly meeting an alien; friend or foe? To me, I'm much more laid back as to what I think and openly accept the change. So, again, I think that it just depends on the person and what they're like, so you're not alone in how you feel. I've already seen several other scratchers share the same feelings as you.

The Scratch Team is not going to switch over to 2.0 until it's fully released, which obviously won't be all glitchy and incomplete. This is just a beta so people who aren't afraid of change can enjoy the new features.
Stop being afraid of change. There's nothing wrong with it.
What is so bad about 2.0?

You'll have to wait for the final release of 2.0 then. Which won't be all incomplete.

I really don't like 2.0...
I hate changing.
I actually love change. (not changing, I don't care about changing as long as the clothes I change into are appropriate for the situation)
But change is different from changing.
And I love change because it gives you something new rather than sticking to the old stuff.
I'd actually prefer moving houses like every month (as long as all my stuff would be packed up for me) to a different city or whatever because it's something new and exciting.
If my school stopped selling my favorite lunch I'd be mad. Unless they replaced it with a better lunch. Which is what the Scratch Team is doing. They'll stop the old 1.4 and replace it with a better 2.0.

OK. Will that be in like a week or a month or like a year?

Nobody knows, except maybe for the ST, though Scratch 2.0 is definitely not going to be finished in a week or in a month.

OK. In my opinion, they should keep the 1.4 interface, bring HD graphics but have bitmap editor remain, and then that would be my ideal scratch 2.0

According to your forum date, you joined on the 26th. It could just be the forum one though.

How so?
1- Most of the changes won't really affect me. (The only one that I really like is that we can upload more than 10mb.)
2- I'm already used to the 1.4 design.
3- I don't really like Vectors.
4- The forums will have to be reset in 2.0.
5- The new version has too many bugs. (But I'm sure they'll fix them...)
6- In 2.0, The quality of my Gmod screenshots doesn't get higher at all.
7- I simply love 1.4. What can I do?

I don't want it to change.
I'd feel better if it happened faster though.

Come on guys it will be awesome

Even with 2.0, you can still use 1.4 to make projects...?

1: The changes will affect many others. Especially the cloud variables and cloning, making education with Scratch much more effective.
2: The 2.0 design just has the stage on the left and the scripts on the right. Did you think you weren't going to be able to find the stage or something?
3: Then import your own graphics. The Scratch paint editor was never meant for making "good" graphics anyway.
4: So? Just remake the topics you want. Were you hoping to keep your post count? That's insignificant anyways, don't expect to use that as a bragging right.
5: No... I think they'll keep the bugs there forever. The reason why there's still bugs is because they wanted to reveal the beta earlier to satisfy all those hungry Scratchers who are actually eager to use the new version. And so they can have more people find bugs. If you don't want to use a glitchy version, just stick to 1.4 and pretend 2.0 beta was never public. Just switch when you have to, which is when there'll be significantly less bugs.
6: Maybe they'll increase the screen size. Maybe you should tell them about that. Try zooming in and see if the resolution is bad when zooming in.
7: You can start loving 2.0 since it's better.
