If you give credit to Notch and link to the actual site, no. Notch has said he doesn't mind remakes (I think he even talked about Scratch once) if he gets some credit. He actually likes it. He says its cool that a game he made is encouraging people to learn about programming.
So give credit to Notch for the original, and your fine. ^-^

someone here is bound to bring up the pac man incident,so let me do the honors.
Because everything on Scratch, including projects is protected by an educational license, they can't sue you, but one person recreated pac man, and quite well, but maybe a little too well. Namco told scratch to take the project down and they did.
But that was one time and it's the only time that it's happened.
And I hate to sound hostile when I say this, but I don't think your project will be so much like Minecraft that Mojang will get suspicious.

Again let me say it, Notch doesn't care if people recreate minecraft. He thinks its cool. ^^

You don't have to repeat yourself on the internet where people can re-read your posts.
The one above this one did nothing to contribute to the topic. You pretty much just did that to attract attention away from my post and to your own. -.-

Your post wasn't true, and wanted to make sure you knew the reason why. Mojang was created by Notch. There have been tons of recreations (and the creators have sometimes made money) and Notch doesn't care. He's posted this numerous times on Twitter and said it on video and stuff.

Scratch has no "educational" license - it merely applies the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (iirc) license to the content you made in your projects. Any copyrighted material you use in your project, will still be copyrighted. The copyright holders have all the rights to sue you or perform whatever actions they feel appropriate to protect their work.
Copyrighted material may be used through the fair use exemption - that is, for educational, transformative or creative (whilst using as less of the original work as possible), or research purposes.
That said, you likely won't get into trouble if the copyright holder (Notch) doesn't mind derivate works such as your project.

No - Even if it was close to exactly Minecraft (Which would be pretty difficult, maybe nearly impossible to do in Scratch.), Notch or Mojang would not sue you, and can't anyway. Although I believe he can ask you to take it down, but I'm not sure on that one, so don't quote me on it.
Scratch is on a Creative Commons licence, because it is only used for educational purposes, which means you can post things freely (With credit, of course.) without being subjected to copyright punishments.
So no, you can't be sued. Just have fun making your game, but here's something most users on Scratch forget, even myself:
CREDIT.
As I stated above, even though this website is under a licence, credit should be given.
It doesn't even matter if it's just stated in the project notes, either.

What? I guess I see what your saying but nothing I said was wrong. Everything I posted was right, and happened.

I'm not sure what exactly you're saying is fake, but if you're talking about the Pac-Man thing, then here you go.
