Also, can me and you make a small, sample map? ieu99 and maybe others aren't understanding the map concept, so i think it would help.  smile  We need the decor and food/water/unoccupied hut graphic before we can start on a real map.

I can definitely do the user-interaction GUI scripts, and the scrolling. :3

Sure, we can do the map together.  big_smile

I think what you have in mind is something like The Settlers 6, a circular mini-map in the lower right with the whole map, and territories are semi-colored depending on if you are in them and who claimed them, and a 2.5D scrollable zoomed-in view covering the whole screen.

How does that sound?

If we can do that, that's exactly what i was thinking!

Thanks, let me make that display engine and a small example of a territory's setup and then i will make some simple map pieces(NOT finals, just for example.).

Do you guys need a grass texture? ^-^

Actually, yes, we do.  smile  Thanks for volunteering. I am new to 2D art and textures, and since i don't know how to make a texture, i didn't think to ask funnymee to put it on the "To Do" list.

Map Voting Poll did not wrote:

2 - 1 yes. -funnymee

THE QUESTION:

Are we going to:

1 - Make the crops/bushed/fruit trees(optional)/streams separate from the map?
2 - When we make the maps, draw them in. (We would have to use color sensing)
To see why i am asking this, look at the front post(My details should be there).

PLEASE VOTE, MEMBERS!

Re: Northern Lights Collaboration

There are alternate color sensing techniques that we can use. We can have a "shell" for each region and then render the shells first, then use color sensing to detect regions (every region has a different colored shell) and then we can render the actual regions, meaning the user won't notice any color-sensing and the terrain can be as complex as we want it to be, but it'll still sense perfectly.

Gravitation, if funnymee approves, then please make an example of your idea and i will make an example of what i was thinking.

Well, why not. For images, get their url (or code) and put it in here:

Now, for the link. Just put your image's code (with the [img]'s) or some text in here:

  Image or Text Here

Also, just to say, I've finished the Scrolling Page Engine.

Well then, there's one more step that needs to be done. Upload your image to Imgur (or another image hosting site), and copy it's url. Then you can use that in the steps that I've ahown you above, and viola! You've got an image with a link in your signature!

Anyway, the engine was nothing.  smile

FUNNYMEE:

I just need you to confirm that iaoumeur can still help out and that Gravitation's idea below is acceptable. I will make an example of my idea and(hopefully,) he/she will make an example of his/hers.

THANK YOU lundfamily3, i am just about to view it... Looking at your other art, i am sure it will be good.  smile

ERNIE: Upload to an image host? Doesn't that make your picture their property? Can't anyone view them?
