Scratch

My name is Shane, I've been writing code since I was 12 ( self taught basic on a ZX81)  and the little onte in parenthesis will let you know I am in my mid 40's so that makes me ancient in computer terms.

My kids have tried turtle logo, some basic and stuff like that. THeyhave ambitions to be minecraft modders, write other code to do cools stuff nad be more than users of a computer. Scratch seems the right place to kick off their ambitions.

I hopeI can contribute to the community (in between work, raising kids, sleep, adn more work) but this place has similar isdeals to myself.

I am working with some young people (teens) hleping them become better computer users/ builders / modders / hackers etc. Scratch promotes creativity and learning so will be looking at using this to help others become better hackers (code /life ).

Along the way I hope my years of coding experience in multiple languages and under multiple OS will be useful to provide ideas here .

Why VBCONZ? I work for virusbusters removing bad code, fixing good code, sorting operating systems and delving into the depths of all types of it gadgetry. Its less common as a user name than Shane
