I love IMAX Movies! I first fell in love with IMAX by watching a Warner Brothers movie "NASCAR: The IMAX Experience" in the summer of 2004 at the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Gatineau, Quebec before Scratch was started, And I thought "Well, I want to bring that 70mm film experience home on DVD!". So I got the IMAX Collection which contains a lot of DVDs transferred from the original 70mm format and is remastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound to get the best experience possible on a home theater system.

Um, what's the difference? I usually see either Dolby Digital 3D(?) or HFR3D(The Hobbit).
IMAX is a giant-screen 70mm film format that brings motion pictures to life with uncompressed 5.1-channel surround sound compared to the other film formats, which they use usually are Dolby Digital, SDDS, and DTS/Datasat, so there is no special decoder required to do that. The IMAX Picture Format is usually between 1.37:1 to 1.85:1 which is usually a widescreen format for OMNIMAX and other widescreen IMAX formats. Other film formats are usually between 1.66:1 to 2.40:1. You will get a thrilling big screen experience right out of your movie-watching seat! IMAX 3D is also made by the same company who made the film format come alive, but also transfers some old movies to 3D by using a digital remastering technology. See what I mean?
