I want one and I can get one, but for some unknown reason, I'm not buying one. :[

Yep, though the B is worth the extra $10, unless you are a school buying a couple hundred of them.
Twice as many RAM and two USB ports should be totally worth it, yeah. c:
though you can always get a usb hub

I'd probably get one anyway. The guy in charge of the programming club thing I go to has one with a USB hub and that's really convenient; the biggest problem is that it's hard to figure out where to put it. He's got like a case and I think he velcroed it to the top.

It would be pretty cool to have a huge desktop tower case, and have a little RPi inside it... like a joke

^^I'd get a little Pentium with DOS in it, put that in one of these flashy "gaming cases" and call it my gaming computer

Yay, poorly made Scratch Cat face!
In the last few days, Minecraft Pi Edition was released. Of course, my bad cat face up there was made in it. MPE runs surprisingly well under the low performance of the RPi, though every 30 seconds or so, it will lag for a second or two. It is only an early beta though, so it will likely get better.

Oh, I heard about MC Pi Edition a while ago. Sounds good, from what you described, and I'm sure the API must be fun to play with. c:

Me too.... but his was almost perfect, because it was made in a couple of hours on a decent system, I took 10 mins on a laggy RPi.

New Minecraft + RPi update, but this time it isn't Pi Edition.....
It's a regular MC server running on the Pi!
The server took about 4 minutes to load up. But once it was finished, it runs great! (at least with only one person on) I only allocated it about 100MB of RAM!
All you have to do is follow these instructions, and run:
/opt/jdk1.8.0/bin/java -Xmx100M <path to the mc server jar> nogui
If you did it right, you should be greeted by a very slowly loading MC server.

Hmm... how slowly? If it's super laggy I might wait to make a PE server...

After its finished creating the world for the first time, it seems pretty fast, at least with just one person on. Even if 100M doesn't turn out to be enough for you, you probably have a 512MB Pi (mine is an old 256MB), so you could probably get away with 150 or 200M.

Decided to try to stress test the RPi minecraft server....
To join, you'll need Hamachi (yes I know that hamachi sucks, but my internet blocks all incoming ports (the internet, not the router))
network: MinePi
password: minepi
Keep in mind that my internet is bad, so it may be especially laggy.... but it may not.

I just ordered mine(Rev 2), along with a mouse, keyboard, sd card, power supply and clear case.
