Re: What voice do you use to read posts?

I guess I sort of think them, and if something is particularly unique about the personality expressed in the post, whatever I think fits.

People I converse with a lot on Skype and such do sort of have their own voice in my head, but you know
those are their actual voices :L

A little high pitched, curious, American, probably Midwest.  The question has a major lift at the end.

American, near the center of the Rockies.  A bit softer than average, timid, mildly interested, a bit more monotone than I would expect.

How about me?

Ususally I read them silently in my head, but if they're funny, I actually say them out loud.

Re: What voice do you use to read posts?

Wow! I talked about this with my teacher. She says that whenever she gets an email/note/etc. she reads it in our voice.

Interestingly, I never read things in 'voices'. I am an extremely verbal person, and can read very fast. I wonder why I have no internal voices? I understand what you mean by reading in voices, but I never do it. This is fascinating!

Reading text aloud, in your head or not, is exactly what one shouldn't do to read fast. It's a weird thing - instead of reading a text and interpreting the resulting speech, one directly interprets the text. That's how it works for me, at least c:

What an astute and intelligent observation!

I think that makes a lot of sense. Although sometimes, I go too fast, and have to go back and read again. Something that helps me interpret the text more efficiently is to annotate in the margins.

ahahaha I don't like writing on my books either...unless the school gives them to me. Even though they're brand new, I almost never like them much anyway. I annotate when teachers give me, say, printed articles.
