Hey everyone!
quick idea, does anyone think it would be cool to use different colored wool, make a GIANT comic strip sorta thing on the ground, then enable host option so we could fly up and move sideways so you could read a comic strip in mincecraft? i am currently building it, but its not finished
thanks for reading!

Better option:
Make it verticle, make platforms 50 blocks away so you can see each panel, and use commandblocks to teleport you from frame to frame.

Do not play again until you've installed the mod Biomes O' Plenty.
Oh God. This is the way Minecraft is supposed to be.

Yeah, I've gotten that mod already, but I uninstalled it. I hate modding Minecraft, besides OptiFine. It feels like I'm not doing anything legit anymore.

But it's not a cheat mod.
In fact, it makes the game harder. The resource-exclusive biomes are spread out more (cocoa beans, snow, large amounts of water, etc), making these things harder to find.
I don't understand why most people think "mod" and automatically think "cheat".

Glad someone agrees.
Anyways, Most of Pam's Mods (the best is harvestcraft, for those farmers out there!) and Metallurgy make the game much, much better, and a bit harder, without destroying the core part of the game. And they both work together, with Biomes O' Plenty (I think. They should. And they both have ID config's)
Edit: Harvestcraft doesn't work with Metalurgy

Eh. It's really more for farmers and people who hate snow.
I only like Clay Spawn, Huge Mushroom Spawn, Melon Spawn, and Simple Crafting

A really good mod generally is something so... good ( ) that it feels like it belongs in the game. Also, while we're talking about mods, tripwire hook item textures look like mod items.

Like most farming mods and most mining mods.
Because you can never stop mineing.
Can someone recommend a monster mod with little to no drops/items/blocks? All of the good ones are outdated, and all of the updated ones are "HURR DURR BABBY PINK CERRPAH!"

Do you mean something like AtmosMobs?

I have that. Most of them are peaceful, and sort of.. dumb.
I have Primitive Mobs, which is pretty good. It adds lost miners, haunted tools, tame-able spider babies (on the back of hostile mother spiders, with a slightly smaller father spider), Mimics (75% chance of turning into a monster that eats you, 25% to become a chest with loot. Looks exactly like a chest) as well as other things that I'll let you find for yourself.
No link right now, I'm at school.
As for more mods, I mean something that, when I bite, it bites back. Like Mutant Creatures, though not as extreme.

Thaumcraft.
Basically, you stand in front of a GUI creating wands, staves, and blocks.

Well, Thaumcraft gives every item properties (fire, light, animal, etc.) which you can combine to make items.

You know what?
We need a DINOSAUR mob.

Shadow of the Colossus style?
But anyway, this is something that has somewhat-slightly annoyed me about Minecraft; people always assume that Minecraft is set before human civilizations because there are no big cities or electronics. If you were stranded in the middle of the wilderness, would you expect to find cities, or be able to make complex circuitry (beyond redstone)? Yeah, this was going to be a rant. Too lazy.
