Wouldn't mind. Sounds like a good idea...

Cool, do you use FL Studio (I have demo so I'll have to give you my stems).

Re: Music Production : The Topic

A collab song would be interesting. We have like 3 Scratch compilation albums by now, after all.  tongue

I'd help by recording guitars and bass, perhaps, but I can't guarantee I will as my recording setup is never stable. The "studio" computer I was setting up is currently lacking a video card and I can't use it without that >.>

It's ok, I'll give you some lossless files for the percussion, synths, bass, stuff you can add on, or you could give me some guitar files for me too add on, works either way.

CAUSTIC 2 pro for Android, with some cheapo headphones and a YPG-625 keyboard with midi support.

I might get mixxx on the computer that happens to run ubuntu at the moment. After I figure out why it's only playing one sound at a time  hmm

edit: any tips for composing melodies? I *suck* at that :(((((
editedit: any low-cost midi controllers out there for e.g. finger drumming? and what software should I use after I fix audio? so many questions deauuuuugh

Time for tipsssss

Answer 1: Melodies, usually if you have a chord you can just play random notes from it. If not just try playing 4ths and 5ths until you come up with something cool.

Answer 2: Not exactly cheap but this is pretty awesome http://www.akaipro.com/lpd8 I dont think there is as much use to finger drumming as getting a keyboard.

Answer 3: Mixx would be more of a tool which you would use to dj sets, but if you were going to make music on a tight budget and aren't a pirate (arrr) then I would suggest Linux Multi Media Studio http://lmms.sourceforge.net/home.php. I''ve used it in the past and have seen some wesome stuff on it, it just tkes some time to learn how everything works. Lot's of tutorials though!

Re: Music Production : The Topic

My setup consists of a Yamaha PSR-E213 keyboard, LMMS, and Audacity. Nothing complex or fancy.  tongue

Since I don't have a Soundcloud (may make one at some point), here's my latest creation, using LMMS: some song

We could remix that Swedish House Mafia song, you know, 'Levels'.
