I have not played Wind Walker. This is actually the first Zelda game I owned.
And I think it's good. Sometimes frustrating, but good.

Hmm, Ocarina of Time would've been a better first so you would understand the references to it in Twilight Princess. Also definitely play Wind Waker, it is the best in the series (in my opinion at least).

Yeah wind waker's a great game! I love the different art design.

First try, first proper Zelda game. I'm at the first temple, the forest temple, I think. @aboveX2, have you ever played the original, 2D games? I have the first one on VC, and it is good, but hard. I have not even done the first dungion.

No.
There's really no jusitification.
I have a theory Bowser and Ganondorf kidnap them and they go along with it, and they go to a coffee shop to talk together until the heroes come, and they repeat.
It's the only explanation, at least for Zelda.
