Nope, not yet. Could you write a weather simulator? What kind? I could do a random generator for it.
Hmm, use cloning to create snowfall and rain, use ghost effect and a solid yellow thing to make sunlight
Ok I can make the effects but they might need some graphical upgrades eventually. I will start about now.

Will you be adding original pokemon? Or just the pokemon red ones?
If you plan on sticking to the pokemon from red only, you should at least add one original pokemon... an apple maybe
I could sprite it
Just a suggestion, and good luck.I'm thinking of adding Missingno. and 'M and possibly an OrcaCat Pokemon.
So no to my suggestion? Alright.
Oh, and I'm also going to add the Scratch cat.

You should make missingno hake the game.

Are they going to be Johto Pokemon in the Sevii Islands? Also can we make some changes and make Pear Green once we finish?

No sevii islands and Johto yet. Apple Red will be like Pokemon Red with Fire Red Graphics. Pear Green will be a "fan-made" game, where I put in everything that I thought should be in Pokemon. (ex. real time battles, more items, more pokemon, more moves outside of battles, etc.)

Or pear green could be the equivalent of Leaf Green, and we could just change it to have the Leaf Green things that are slightly different than in Fire Red like a few wild pokemon or whatever is the difference.

Yes, but it will be different in gameplay from Apple Red.

Ok and do you have an alternate task for me? Like I said I couldn't do the weather effect.

To make a battle system your problably going to need to use variables for each type then use operators to make it like a fraction. This script just popped into my mind

I don't have any coding tasks right now. Maybe take battle animations from spriter's resource, and make a different costume for each animation?

Ok I can try I'm better at programming inner mechanics with variables and things. And by the way what is Spriter's resource?

Ok do you have any sprites in particular, and how should I get the individual pokemon out of the large images?

Use a program like MS paint to crop out the individual costumes here or here.

I can't get or use that so I'll need someone else to give me the cropped sprites with the backgrounds removed.

You can work on the battle engine, I guess. This is what I need:
Each battle will have a "mode" variable. This will be wild, trainer, gym, elite 4, etc. Then I can add different music depending on the mode. The battle must start with a "when I recieve [battle]". Remember, include type effectiveness. Don't bother to include all Pokemon and moves. If you program it well, it will be "expandable" to add more moves and Pokemon.

This sounds very interesting. I think I can help you. I feel like the easiest way to accomplish a battle scenario is through list manipulation with reference lists (each move being assigned a number). I think that this would allow for ease of access and "expandability". I'm gonna try my luck at this and see where it gets me.

Good point. That's what I thought. Another purpose of this project is to make an easily "moddable" Pokemon game, I'll make a tutorial once this is finished.

That's genius and can I help you with it at all?
Yeah. You can A) provide me with some sample moves / pokemon you want in the demo or B) tell me the formulas for stats, damage etc.
