Ok I'll just give ideas...

You could get some ideas or design Link's best friend, in most Zelda games he has some kind of friend. You could also design some of the backgrounds maybe like I did for Link's village. If you do I think you should use those red arrows that I made to move around the map.

Should I start working on the story?

UPDATE: Just came up with an idea for the story.
It can be changed around but we needed an idea soon...
