i used to keep pet goldfish
then we buried them in matchboxes in the backyard
they had pretty miserable lives too, i kept wanting to hold them while they got their bowl cleaned out
or poke at them while they swam around frantically in a cup of water
i was in kindergarten though!

people don't usually touch their pets...
well, it'd be kind of hard to keep a fish and a jellyfish alive in a normal tank (although apparently, you have to keep jellyfish in a round tank because they get stuck in corners).

who says you have to keep them in the same tank? I have three fish tanks set up at the moment.

Fish
I've never had any fish as pets but I don't see the point in doing so, all it's doing is taking them out of their natural habitat and putting them in a much smaller place to live
Actually, both "fish" and "fishes" are acceptable plural forms of the singular "fish". You would know this if you had watched Kim Possible more carefully. (Although, generally, "fishes" is used for different species of fish.)

I used to have a goldfish named Winchester. (got the name from a road.) From the top view, you could see an exclamation point on its back. He only survived like... 3 days, maybe. I still remember when we took him/her home.
