Do you believe that Scratch has cliques? I have noticed that some more popular Scratchers seen to talk more to each other and ignore some unknown Scratchers.

I don't know. I mean there are certain social groups I'm a part of here (wiki admins, untitled group) but I don't know of any cliquishness. However, I don't really go on the main site or pay attention to my surroundings in general.

People are bound to gather in reduced groups of people they know well, in any sort of social situation. Scratch provides it's users many means to socialize, such as the comments and forums, so it's logical that "cliques" of famous users, artists, RPers, programmers, wiki admins, or anything would exist.
It's not something bad; one simply needs to find a "clique" that accepts them, and perhaps shares their interests.

Well
I don't really talk to the super popular scratchers, mainly because they don't go on the forums.
I talk to a lot of popular scratchers off the forums.
So there isn't really a clique, unless you consider me popular.

I think it's to do with prejudice; some people make assumptions of scratchers before they've got to know them, and base them from how well known they are, which friends they have etc.
I haven't really seen this happen a lot though, only on occasions

Not really, people make good (and a lot) of projects, they are gonna become "popular". The people that aren't "recognized" are just because they have yet to be discovered on the site. All of the users have started out that way.
