Re: I noticed that the size of the ZIP file for the 1.4RC is bigger than the one for this version of 1.4. Why is that?

We did a better job of compressing some of the example projects.

I have only one thing that I don't like about Scratch 1.4. They took out the feature to import .tiff files which I use to import Google Sketch Up animations.

I don't think Scratch has supported importing tif.
It supports:
JPG, BMP, PNG, GIF (including animated GIF)

That's great that you are importing Google Sketchup animations. Can you export them in one of those other formats?

I think that Scratch 1.4 is great, but when will you be able to support using Lego Mindstorms through scratch, if at all? I have one, and I don't want to waste another 130 dollars on another kit. I think I might have come up with a way to at least run a motor through scratch, but it just might not work.

Yes Paddle2See they did take it out. I use it a lot to. Maybe they need to make a Scratch 1.4.1 so they can include that. Otherwise I have to go back in all of the images and change the file format.

Scratch has been able to import .tiff because I have done it in Scratch 1.3.1.

I can export the animations as something else but the file format isn't as good as .tiff.

I can't believe I missed this, but YES!!!

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

No - they should be fine.  You may have to hunt around a little to find them though...I found mine under Examples in the File Open window.
