Really surprised you didn't pick up a Riolu. Everyone seems to. It is a good pokemon after all.

Also, just know what you are getting into, Garchomp has the worst shiny of any pokemon.

IMO, I feel a lot more accomplished hatching a shiny instead of obtaining one, so perhaps that's why they want to hatch a Shiny Gible?

But Garchomp is a pretty bad shiny. XP

I didn't pick up a Riolu either.
But I'm doing pretty good, I'm on Victory Road.
I have a:
Serpierior
Growlithe
Zebstrika
Krookidile
Psyduck
Tranquill

Wow, not a bad team at all.

I tried for an Azurill to get all three base types covered, but failed. D:

Also Virbank Gym is really frustrating.

Virbank is Roxie right?
My Growlithe was useful for her.
It took a couple tries though, so just keep training!

If you need help for Roxie., I recommend the Magnemite from the Virbank Complex.

I used my Magnemite and kept on using SonicBoom. Roxie was really easy when I did that and took one try.

Magnezone isn't a bad Pokemon either, so he helped as a defensive wall during some gym matches, and his electric moves helped against Marlon.

But since you picked Snivy, banana, you really won't need help with Marlon if your starter is always the best on your team, like me.

I chose Oshawott, so Magnezone helped me against Marlon... They're also useful if you chose Tepig for your starter to handle the rival's Oshawott 

Magnemite have a 25% chance of appearing in the Virbank Complex in both games, so they're a little bit rare.

Soulsilver is lost and I didn't really have a team...
Leafgreen just has lame weak guys for flying and surfing... except for Charizard lv. 76
I haven't beat Leafgreen yet and I didn't finish Kanto in Soulsilver.

Otherwise I'm waiting for my birthday to get Black 2. I really want to pick up a Trubbish there cause Garbodor is one of my favorite Pokemon but I don't have room for it in White...

My totally official team in soulsilver is

pidgeot
sudowoodo
froslass (she's great- no-one knows she's a ghost type)
Not the greatest team in the world, but they did beat red. ^^

Man. I haven't played on my Diamond for soooo long.

Neither have I got on Pokemon Ranch. I know the graphics stink, but I just wanted to get a Mew since my Wifi doesn't work for Diamond.
