Game Boy

In response to Animeboy's NES . :P

Discuss the greatest handheld ever made...the TIGER GAMECOM.

Haha just messing.

Discuss any iteration of Game Boy here! :D

I'm close to owning the whole line, here's what I have:

The original (from a flea market)
Game Boy Pocket (from a flea market)
Game Boy Color (used to be my sister's, I just inherited it)
Game Boy Advance SP AGS-001 (frontlit model) (my first personal game console. Sadly does not work anymore. D:)
Game Boy Advance SP AGS-101 (backlit model; the best Game Boy of all)(from a magical land called eBay, cost me a bunch, but totally worth it)
Game Boy Micro (also eBay)

Only ones I don't have are the original GBA and Game Boy Light.

I don't have a lot of games for it yet, and the only one of these consoles which I really play is the GBA SP, which plays every Game Boy game known to man. :) But here's what I have:

Pokemon Blue (GBC) (aww yeah)
Pokemon Silver (GBC) (awww yeah)
Pokemon Crystal (GBC) (aaaaawwwwwwww yeeeeaaaaaahhhh)
Super Mario Land (GB)
Donkey Kong Land (GB)
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (GBC) (ummm it was my sister's okay)
Spongebob: Legend of the Lost Spatula (GBC) (also my sister's...)
Pokemon FireRed (GBA) (one of my favorite games of all time)
Pokemon Emerald (GBA) (grew up with this one)
Metroid Fusion (GBA) (best Metroid game IMO)

And there's a bunch of other GBA games I had but are unfortunately lost. :(

Anyways discuss Game Boy!

Re: Game Boy

I have both iterations of the GBA SP, and used to have an original GBA (gave it away). I have many games for it, but the best is probably NFS Underground.

I have an original GBA but I think it's kind of dead
I pretty much only have Pokémon games for it, as well as Sonic Advance and Tetris

Backlights are for wimps  cool

(especially if you define "wimp" as someone who actually wants to see the game)

Re: Game Boy

I have a GBA SP with a few games that aren't really good. For some reason I only wanted the games with characters I knew about for it (M&Ms, Cars, etc.). I also have some more GBA games and Super Mario Land 2 (GB) on my 3DS.

If you want something to do while Scratch is down, check out tbgs.tk! It's the new version of the (closed) Scratch TBGS, run by Scratchers! I'm going to spend most of my time there, anyway.

Re: Game Boy

I got out my GBA SP and played both of my Harry Potter games. I also, realised that I only ever owned 4 games for GBC and GBA. Now I plan on buying Emerald  big_smile

Re: Game Boy

I used to have a regular DS and with the regular DS, you can put Game Boy games at the bottom of the DS. So this guy in my neighborhood gave me this game boy game called Mario Pinball. It was pretty fun. Well now I have a DSi XL which you can't put game boy games in. And I don't know where that game went. I think under the couch.

I still have my red DS lite, so I can play GBA on it. :D

The hinge is cracked, unfortunately, but it still works like a charm.

Then haul your butt over to eBay and buy a GBA SP! :P

Seriously that's all you need, it can play any GB game in existence. I have the others just for kicks.

Be sure to look for the backlit model (AGS-101), they're a bit expensive, but worth it! :D

Re: Game Boy

I have a pretty beat-up GBA and I used to have an SP but it mnysteriously disappered. I use the GBA to play original GB/GBC games mostly, since I still have my DS original (which plys GBA games and is backlit).

I got a DSi XL because my DS lite got water spilled on it.

Sorry, bro.
I still have my blue DS lite.
And there's nothing wrong with it as far as I can see.
But I don't use it as often since I have a 3DS.
